Tampa Florida Weather

Here are the Florida Doppler Radar Loops, a lawsuit has been filed, the Trump campaign has requested a recount, and here is a look at where we stand on the Florida Dopplers and Radar Loops. Florida recorded 16,875 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths since the pandemic began to 17,775, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Florida has added 16 of those states to its list of states with the highest number of new cases in the country.

Of the named storms, 13 were hurricanes, 12 reached the U.S., six became major hurricanes (category 3 or higher) and 12 became category 2 hurricanes. The storms became increasingly violent, bringing destructive winds, heavy rain and severe flooding to parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.

Sometime in the future, we do not know when the worst-case scenario will occur, but Tampa Bay is one of the areas in the US that is most vulnerable when a hurricane hits, owing to its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico and its growing population. In this story, I will reflect on why a Category 5 hurricane would pose a major threat to Florida, as well as the rest of Florida and South Carolina.

Pinellas County is located on the peninsula between the Bay of Tampa and the Gulf of Mexico, and much of the city of Tampa is located along the small peninsula that juts out into it. It has long been bounded by a narrow, flat, but ever narrower, flat coastline, moving north and south at a speed of about 1.5 miles per year.

In Tampa, winter is short, cool, windy and partly cloudy; summer is long, hot, humid, warm, sunny and with a high temperature of about 90 degrees. While morning thunderstorms usually bring heavy rain and wind, a few inches or more of snow, an afternoon storm is usually followed by a pleasantly clear, cooler evening.

In a warmer world, stronger storms could creep north, directing ever-stronger storms toward the Mid-Atlantic states. When the prevailing winds are to the west or southwest, the storm will pass through and move from west to east, reversing a more frequent pattern.
